Euphorbia myrsinites L.

Flora Europaea

Ciocarlan (2000) published from Romania (Enisala and Agighiol, Tulcea county) Euphorbia fontqueriana Greuter under the name E. myrsinites L. ssp. letardierei Font Quer et Garcias Font, which seemingly is endemic to Balearic Islands from the western Mediterranean Basin. You can see photographs of this species from Mallorca here. It is said that it differs from E. myrsinites L. in having red glands (not yellow ) and a capsule longer or at least as long as wide with acute carenate valves (not the length shorter than the width, with weakly carenate valves). In this case, the photographs from Enisala to the right represent E. fontqueriana but they were unfortunately taken when the inflorescences were completely dried.
